Jessica was born and raised in Sheridan, Wyoming, and has deep ties to the community. She has been married to her husband, Mark Thompson, for 15 years, and together they have two sons, Ethan and Lucas. In 2008, Jessica graduated from the University of Wyoming, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. She then pursued her legal education at the University of Wyoming College of Law, where she graduated Cum Laude in 2012 with a Juris Doctor degree.
